Sleep isn't the same

I may have gotten a better night of sleep, but there's nothing better
than waking up to your baby's face in the morning...

It is 9:50pm on Thursday, April 28. My baby is not with me right now! Where is she you ask? She went home with her mother this morning while I remain in Efland. I have been at an excellent training course this week in Raleigh, and I have one more day of it, so, for the first time since Zoey was born, I am spending a night without her. Many people might think that this is great and I will catch up on a night's sleep, or on reading, or on some TV or whatever. The truth is, I miss my baby! I have been sleeping relatively well anyway, and for the most part, I have been able to do many of the personal tasks and things I have wanted to do even with Zoey in my arms (typing is a bit challenging, but I am getting very good at using one hand). In any case, I miss my daughter and wife quite a bit this evening.

I am not overly worried, however, since Richard (Abbie's Dad) is staying with Abbie tonight to help out and keep her from being alone. This is wonderful, and I am glad she doesn't have to be by herself. I will join the fun tomorrow after a full day of training and a long drive home with my dog. Yep...at least I have one of my girls with me still! Emma and I are going to have some quality car time together tomorrow!

Well...there are many pictures to add to the blog, so i will work on that over the weekend. My new camera has been fantastic so far, taking pristine pictures and cutting my download times in half (although that probably has more to do with the high-speed SD card I bought for it!) So look for them in the next few days. Have a great weekend everyone!
