More Standing

Zoey has been practicing her standing some more lately. The other day we were out for dinner, and Zoey stood up in her highchair and just stood there for a bit! She also has been standing for a few seconds at a time in the bathtub. This child definitely has a reckless streak in her! She has also enjoyed holding on to one of my fingers in each hand and walking a bit. She is very proud of herself when she does it! I notice that I posted back on March 4th that maybe she would be walking soon, but she isn't doing so at this point. That is fine with me! I can wait if she can! However, it is interesting how development works in spurts rather than a steady increment. Meanwhile, her gibberish is definitely taking on more intonation and meaning, especially when reading.

Zoey news and update

Now that Zoey has reached 13 months, I face the dilemma I had feared from the moment she was born... Do I refer to her age in months or years/months? I always thought referring to age strictly in months after the baby is a year old as silly, since 15 months is 1 year, 3 months. But now I sort of understand why. Anyway, this is a boring silly thing to worry about. On to Zoey!

Zoey has definately begun to show a mommy preference at certain times. There are times where she loves to see me, and times where only mommy will satisfy her whine. It's ok, and normal, so I am not bothered by it. Besides, a large majority of the time she is just happy as can be, smiley, and talkative, and loves to see anyone.

We went swimming this Saturday at the YMCA. Zoey definitely loves the water. She even is learning to pull herself up and out of the pool and then can jump in (with assistance of course!). She loves to watch other people swimming as well.

Grandma came up this weekend as well to play with Zoey and take Lilah home with her. Yes, we are now totally cat free. Lilah was an easy cat to deal with, but she relieved herself all over the baby's changing table while we were gone over Passover, and that was the last straw for Abbie. Now we just have our Emma, who turned 3 yesterday as well! For her birthday she ran away. Abbie found her at someone's house in a subdivision just down the road.

Yes, this is a rambling, non-specific post, but sometimes it's the way to go...
