Nature Center

This morning I took Zoey to the Nature Center with Anna and her mom, Amelia. We had a great time looking at all of the animals. Then we went to the park for a snack and some play time. It was a nice morning in Asheville! We are looking forward to seeing Grandma and Grandpa this weekend! I know Zoey is ready to swim!

The entertainer

Once again, Zoey has amazed me. Here are a few things that she has done lately to impress me:

Today at a friend's house she said "Emma," when their black lab, Hurricane, came outside where she was playing.

She has been pointing at me and repeating over and over, "Mama, Mama, Mama." I usually reply, "What baby." Sometimes she is just labeling who I am and sometimes she wants my attention.

This afternoon we were driving home and we passed a jewlery store. She yelled, "clock!" from the back seat! I looked out the driver side window- yup, sure enough there was a large clock on a post. She has become very good at finding clocks everywhere we go.
After she found the clock, she decided to say, "Tickle, Tickle, Tickle......." She tickles her knees and legs as she says this and giggles to outloud herself. Then she decided that she would sing "Bop, bop, bop." This is to the tune of "Big Yellow Taxi- her favorite song. When I put that song on in the car she smiles and sings along.

We were eating dinner tonight and I showed her my bowl when I was done eating. She promptly replied, "All done!" And wiped her hands making the sign for "all done."

Wow. When did my baby girl become a big kid? How does this growing up thing happen so quickly????????????

Feeling groovy

Sorry for the title, I have a really hard time coming up with titles- I may have to leave this blank in the future.
Anyway....... we have had a very nice weekend. We mostly hung out at home to recover from the illness that Zoey had at the end of the week, but we did do a few fun things.
Yesterday Zoey went to the WEGA gym for an hour of wild fun in a huge gymnastics studio. I think she enjoyed jumping on the trampolines the most. The next time we go Gabe will have to show Zoey how much fun it is to jump into the giant foam pit! Today we decided to have a fun afternoon at the pool. Zoey was not as excited about swimming today as she usually is, so it was a short dip. We decided to venture downtown for some dinner at a local Asheville restaurant and finished our meal with ice cream and frozen yogurt. Zoey smacked her lips with each bite of the sweet cream goodness. We are planning to see grandma and grandpa next weekend, so Zoey will swim swim swim- and maybe we can take a visit over to Mapleview Farm for a sweet treat.

p.s. I have been VERY busy trying to digitally scrap some of Zoey's pictures- you can view them if you click on my name under contibutors and then click on scrappy. Enjoy!
