Weekend Trip

We were in Chicago this weekend for Sarah Loeb's Bat-Mitzvah. It was a wonderful trip. Zoey was fantastic on both plane rides, sleeping and/or eating through the entire flights. She got to meet 3 of her 4 fellow class of 2023 cousins this weekend as well. Zev, Mollie, Benno, Zoey, and Hannah (who will meet everyone in a month at the raucous 4th of July celebration), form a group of cousins that will undoubtedly grow up as wonderful friends. Harvey (Sarah's father and my uncle) made the great point that in 13 years, the cycle of B'ne Mitzvah will once again have 4 in the span of a year at which we can show pictures of all the babies at the together at the current one. While I don't want those days to come quickly, I do look forward to that time.

So, now that I saw how much difference a few months makes in the development of an infant, I have many milestones in the next few months to which I can look forward. This weekend, Zoey slept through the night (TWICE), which in itself is amazing! She will begin to grab at her toys soon. She will be more and more aware of her surroundings. She will continue to learn ways of communicating that don't involve crying (although that will most likely be the preferred method for some time). She is our wonderful little daughter, and impresses us more and more each day.
