Long Time No Post
I know, I know...it's been too long with no pictures and no posts. Things have been pretty crazy in our lives lately. In case you didn't know, we are in the process of moving to Durham, North Carolina as I have taken a new job with a company called Network Appliance. Along with that, we are expecting baby number two in mid to late June! So, as you might imagine, we have a lot on our minds currently. Hopefully when we get settled in towards the end of April, the pictures and posts will start flowing normally again.
blogger problems and updates
I don't know why I just had trouble logging in, but I did. Oh well... Hopefully this will post.We are getting back into our routine after a nice LOEB Family vacation to Key Largo. Zoey had a blast playing with her uncles, Savta (SATA), and grandpa Bruce. She had soooo much fun in the zero entry pool at the condo each day. Thanks so much to everyone for helping me and Gabe out, it made our time more relaxing. Zoey is still yelling, "Micah!" And expecting an answer from him right away. I know she had a blast. She also had a great time at the mini-aquarium and going to the state park. She was such a good traveler, and both days getting to and from Key Largo, were long ones for her (and her mother!). The food and company was very good and much needed.Zoey will be finishing her first little gym class this coming Friday and will get to do a performance and receive a medal. I am sure this will be very entertaining. We will continue to take the same class with the same teacher the following week. We are also going to do some swimming lessons this month on a few mornings a week. Although the pool at the YMCA is not shallow like it was in Florida, I think Zoey will still enjoy it as much. She is now jumping in the water from a sitting down position and from standing up (holding our hands of course). She is definitely a fish. I wish I could write all of the things she is saying on a daily basis, but I just can't keep up. She is a sponge and repeats everything we say. She amazes me with how much she remembers and understands (and then explains back to me) from just hearing things once. Today she told me while we were eating lunch, out of the blue, that, "No, no, no, climbing on the table!" She often repeats rules..........Must have learned that from her hall-monitor grammy!!!! She says, "No biting peoples!" All is well this new year!
Hanukkah
As you can see from the pictures added this weekend, Zoey is enjoying Hannukah. She had a great time making cookies and eating them too! She opened a few gifts and last night got her TMX Elmo. She tried putting a shirt on him and shared her juice with him. She was very funny when she opened her presents, saying, "Oh.....!" She has also enjoyed picking the colors of the candles for the menorah and likes watching her dad light them. As I write this, she is playing with her toys and talking to them. She likes pretending to paint everything- no paint- just paints everything with the brush. She is also playing with her window markers- putting them in Emma's dog bowl and then saying, "Where did they go?" Then she will look around, find them, and giggle to herself and put them back in the bag. You can often find her playing with a hat on- whether we are inside or out. She loves all of her hats- she has names for most of them- grammy hat, green hat, elmo hat, bucky hat. She is sporting the typical toddler runny nose lately, I am wondering if her top incissors are finally going to pop through, or if she has just a runny nose cold. Of course she hates to have her nose wiped, but says, "Bless you!" when she sneezes. We have had really nice weather here lately, so maybe we will take a trip to a park today. That is all for now!
Tuesday
Hi there.......... just a quick note. I am trying to update my hard copy photo albumns- something I really don't like about all of this digital stuff is not having a lot of pictures on hand. I tend to print pictures after several months and it is really hard to catch up. I guess at least now I am only printing the ones I like, but it is so hard to choose. I like the digital stuff, but it just doesn't feel the same. I do however, like that I can put a picture up here and update the blog quickly- it just feels strange still to me. Oh well....I guess I have to get used to it!So, as I wait for the computer to upload, I thought I would check in. We had a dr. appt. yesterday. It was quite uneventful and I go back in a month. The best part of the visit was of course hearing the heartbeat again. We heard it two weeks ago, but it is always so nice and comforting to hear it. I have often wondered about buying one of those home-dopplers, but then I would probably worry myself a lot if I was having trouble finding the heartbeat. I am feeling pretty good- lately though I have been having bad headaches that don't seem to go away. As long as I get plenty of rest, I am pretty much 100% Zoey is doing very well. She went swimming on Sunday and had a blast. I think she is going to really enjoy being on vacation next month.
Yummy!
I wanted to take the time today to update what Zoey's latest happenings have been. She is now speaking in full sentences. Last night we went to the mall for an errand and ended up eating and playing in the food court area. On our way out, we stopped and got her a peanut butter cookie. She was very excited to eat it. As soon as we pulled out of our parking spot she yelled, "UMMM... This cookie is yummy!!!" Gabe and I looked at each other and laughed. When she coughs, she covers her mouth and says, "Okay." I don't even have to ask her if she is okay. This morning she sneezed and then said, "Bless You!" She is so expressive and just makes us giggle. She has also started to imitate me in her play. (She also imitates everything I say.) She has been taking a stuffed snoopy dog and laying him down in a cozy little compartment of her art table and saying, "Puppy, nap!" Then she lays down on the kitchen floor and says "SHHHH......" and puts her finger over her lips. Then she whispers to herself for a few minutes. If the puppy isn't asleep she re-situates him and does this whole routine again. She cracks me up! Another thing that has amazed me lately is that she is finding numbers and letters in all kinds of environmental print. She will point out stop signs, letters and numbers on banners, menus at restaurants, billboards, and within words on signs. It is unbelievable how I can watch her brain absorbing more and more and applying it to new situations.
Here we go again...........
Here we are....... 10 weeks into our next pregnancy. We had an ultrasound yesterday confirming one baby with a strong heartbeat....ahhh.......now we can enjoy the next 30 weeks......... Well, that is when I am not feeling like I am going to vomit. Anyway, we are very excited and Zoey has been already saying, "Mama's two babies." We think she will be a very good older sister.Hopefully we can post our ultrasound pictures later.
